Overview
The Free Motion Headform is fired at various locations within the car interior at 24km/h to identify if there are any areas where an occupant would be severely injured. Examples of targets are instrument panels, seat backs, armrests and sun visors.
Specification
The Free Motion Headform is based on the head of the Hybrid III 50% Male dummy head with a flat nose. Mass of FMH impactor: 4.54kg. This includes skin, skull, mounting block and accelerometers.
