Why choose Cellbond?
Are you an Engineering Graduate, have you just left school and are now looking for an apprenticeship or are you seeking a challenging role with a forward thinking, innovative business? Working for Cellbond is an uplifting and immensely satisfying experience, with excellent opportunities for development throughout the company. The progressive approach to staff training means that the staff, like Cellbond, rarely stand still. With competitive financial packages and exceptional prospects, jobs within Cellbond are in high demand.
What does it take to join the team?
You will be a talented, committed individual who possesses the desire to achieve great things. Although Cellbond is a team, the ideal candidate will have the independence and initiative to work alone when circumstances dictate. A willingness and ambition to progress through the company is essential, but work should be enjoyable, so a good sense of humour is equally important.
Students and Internships
The Cellbond team believes that a graduate with experience in a work environment is more employable than a graduate without such experience. Since 1994, the company has operated a highly successful overseas student work experience programme to provide students with valuable experience in the kind of role they can expect to fulfill when they graduate. The benefits to the student are evident. As well as gaining experience within their chosen study field, they improve their English skills and they experience life in a different culture.
All students participating in a programme receive a salary and there is the possibility of accommodation for a reasonable cost at a Cellbond owned house, a short distance from our Huntingdon headquarters.
Apprenticeships and Young People
Cellbond believes in nurturing and developing talent and takes pride in supporting all staff to achieve their individual goals, providing ongoing development opportunities to work towards achieving personal and company objectives.
Cellbond currently employs 10 Apprentices who are spread throughout various departments within the business, and are currently studying courses such as: Engineering, Business Administration, and ICT. A further three apprentices within the business passed their respective Apprenticeship courses earlier in the year and are now beginning the next stage of their careers with Cellbond.
Apprenticeships enable the individual to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence through on the job learning and external classroom-based learning via the local colleges. These opportunities not only provide Cellbond with great talent but also empower our staff to gain valuable skills for their career. As a result Cellbond has enjoyed a great amount of success and can easily demonstrate what an important part of our future our apprentices are and will become.
Apprenticeship Ambassador Network
Cellbond continues to demonstrate commitment to Apprenticeships by being part of the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network. Elaine Coates , Cellbond’s HR Manager, is a proud Employer Apprenticeship Ambassador. Employer Apprenticeship Ambassadors are all employers who have recruited apprentices as part of their workforce and act as a role model to promote and encourage the breadth and diversity within apprenticeships in their own networks.
In addition to Elaine, Chris Hartley , our HR Trainee Administrator, is a proud Young Apprentice Ambassador. The Young Apprentice Ambassador Network is a community of inspiring, driven apprentices and former apprentices who have chosen to share their own positive apprenticeship experience as a powerful tool for engaging and inspiring future apprentices.
Ambassadors will periodically be invited to promote apprenticeships to young people, their teachers, parents and employers through a variety of exciting events. In recent years, Ambassadors have found themselves presenting at awards ceremonies, speaking at the House of Commons, fronting national TV apprenticeship campaigns and attending high profile events.
