Industrial Panels

Cellbond manufactures a range of lightweight and rigid structural sandwich panels, which consist of two facing sheets bonded to aluminium honeycomb core, corrugated aluminium core or PU foam core.

Honeycomb panels

Cellbond manufacture our own range of Honeycomb cored Lamilite panels. We have developed 3 types of aluminium core boards. A-board has 0.5 mm thick aluminium skins. G-board has 0.55 mm thick epoxy resin pre-impregnated woven glass skins. E-board has 0.3 mm thick epoxy resin pre-impregnated woven glass skins. All three have COREX 3003 aluminium honeycomb core. As a result they offer excellent strength to weight ratios at a competitive price. These can be provided both at the Cellbond standard and any other non-standard size. The skin thickness can also be adjusted to meet the customers' needs.

Nomex. cored boards with a variety of skins can also be supplied. These are panels with Nomex. high temperature resistant fibrous aramid honeycomb and either Carbon fibre (NX-C) or Glass fibre skins (NX-G). In addition to the weight saving advantage, these panels are characterised as self extinguishing in fire with low smoke emission making NX panels the obvious choice for fire or corrosion sensitive applications.

The ease of machining and the inherent flexibility of both cores mean that a variety of profiled shapes and contoured components can be produced. Lamilite panels may be supplied ready to paint or with decorative or hardwearing finishes bonded to them.

There is a variety of bonded finishes, including decorative plastics, wood veneers and stainless steel.

Foam Panels

Our recent introduction of low cost structural foam panels has been well received. Standard sizes are 2500 x 1250 mm and 3000 x 1500 mm with a variety of skin materials. Equipment at Cellbond includes PU foam machines which means that we have the ability to formulate the foam according to the client's needs. Any thickness above 10 mm and any overall size can be catered for. The main advantage of these light weight structures is the low cost with excellent insolation properties.

Specialist platens are made for screen printing applications for products such as T-shirts, jeans and other difficult print areas. Printing surfaces include Formica, sponge backed rubber, white silicone rubber and aluminium but other surfaces can be made if required. The finish of all materials is carefully profiled and polished and Cellbond designs can work up to 150 degrees C without any platen distortion or hot spots.

The Cellbond range of tables (vacuum and pallet) are custom made and are manufactured in-house to maintain total quality control and speed of manufacture.

Vacuum Print Bases and T-Shirt Print Platens

Cellbond and screen printing bases have become synonymous because of their high engineering quality and design. The vacuum bases are suitable for all types of screen printing machines including hand operated, semi-automatic, fully automatic and cylinder types, textile printing pallets, low mass tables (for multi-stage high speed printers), routers and flat-bed plotters. They are also used by the photographic industry.

Constructed from aluminium core materials and bonded with extreme accuracy. They are rigid, lightweight and durable. A range of print surfaces are available including Formica, stainless steel, anodised aluminium (silver or coloured) and plain polished aluminium.
