Students and Internships
At Cellbond we believe that a graduate with experience in a work environment is more employable than a graduate without such experience. Since 1994, we have operated a highly successful overseas student work experience program to provide students with valuable experience in the kind of role they can expect to fulfil when they graduate. The benefits to the student are evident. As well as gaining experience within their chosen study field, they improve their English skills and they experience life in a different culture.
Although Cellbond may not ultimately reap the benefits from the individual students we receive, our profile is raised
amongst the future workforce within our industry and if we can help improve the employability of graduates then the industry as a whole benefits. At Cellbond we believe that our relationship with our customers needn't start and end with an order form or invoice.
History behind the initiative
History behind the initiative When the first marketing student arrived from France in 1994, the programme was initially an opportunity for foreign students to enhance their English skills and in turn improve the linguistic capacity at Cellbond. In the interim period the programme has focused increasingly on engineering students, working alongside our permanent engineers who have years of experience at their disposal. The programme in its present format, both engineering and marketing students are assigned with their own specific project that requires a large degree of independence and initiative. They are also entrusted with a level of responsibility where they can now experience the kind of role they would fulfil after graduation from university. All students participating in a programme will receive a salary, there is also accommodation available at a Cellbond owned house, a short distance from our Huntingdon head quarters.
