Cellbond, at the request of various customers is now manufacturing ligaments to fit the TRL legform.

Cellbond's ligaments fully meet the Directive bending stiffness and energy certification requirements.

Quality control is very important, therefore Cellbond carries out extensive testing of their ligaments using a certification rig according to 2003/102/EC. To ensure that each batch of ligaments meets the specified qualities a statistically significant sample from each batch are tested to destruction in the certification rig.

Typical certification results can be seen in figure 1. The surface finish is better than 1.6 µ and made to defined tolerances.

Ligaments purchased from Cellbond will be supplied with a bending certification test certificate typical of that manufacturing batch.
